Ramilya Saubanova, piano

 Dr. Ramilya Saubanova is a pianist from the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, with over 22 years of experience in the world of music. She has won numerous awards, including the Grand–Prix at the World Vision Music International Competition, and received prestigious scholarships like the Presidential Scholarship of Tatarstan.

Ramilya has performed across Russia, Europe, and the United States, both as a soloist and in collaboration with other musicians. Some of her standout performances include concerts at the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater, Saydashev State Grand Concert Hall, Russian Embassy and Brazilian Embassy in DC playing with renowned orchestras such as the Rostov Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Kazan Large Concert Wind Orchestra. She’s also a passionate teacher, giving master classes in piano and chamber music, and her students have gone on to win competitions. In 2020, she was honored by being invited into the American Honor Society Pi Kappa Lambda.

Educated at Kazan State Conservatory and the Peabody Conservatory, Johns Hopkins University, she holds Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. Ramilya is also a co–founder of the Union Square Soirée salon concert series in Baltimore, a musical initiative bridging talent and community. Additionally, she founded the Tatar Music Concert Series in the U.S., blending music, history, and art to create unique cultural experiences. Her debut solo CD, featuring works by Latchford, Crozier, Medtner and Brahms, will be released in 2025.
